FAQs

How does ordering work?

Faery Good Bakeshop operates with a pre-order model where everything is baked to order in an effort to minimize food waste. Baked goods will be available to order during the pre-order period, with local pickup and shipping dates clearly listed. Shipped orders will be sent via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 day shipping).

Only local Brooklyn pickup and U.S. domestic shipping are available at this time.

Where do you source your ingredients from?

I work with a variety of producers, prioritizing small and local makers, to find the freshest, most flavorful and wholesome ingredients to make these whimsical treats.

What is stone-milled flour?

Stone-milling,the ancestral way of making flour, involves grinding wheat berries between two large and heavy stones until they become a powdery flour. It's slightly darker and more nutritious than industrial (aka roller-milled) flour because it contains all parts of the wheat berry: germ, bran, and endosperm.

What are the benefits of stone-milled flour?

Since stone-milled flour contains all parts of the wheat berry, it contains more protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals than industrial flour. This makes stone-milled flour a more gut-healthy option that is easier to digest, feeds good bacteria in the gut, and is easier on the blood sugar.
